How To Measure Yourself
Posted on 11 November 2016
We all love to shop online, but how do you know if something is going to fit? If you always shop at the same store or always buy the same brand, then it's easy. But buying (or in our case) renting a dress online is totally different. Sizing varies a lot depending on the designer, and many dresses run small. (I should know - my wedding dress was a size 12 when I was truly a size 8 (!!!)
Lucky for you, we complied a few tips that can help you master the shopping skill of finding the right size when you are renting a dress online. Read on for our foolproof guide for taking your proper measurements so you can rent online like a pro, without hesitation and with confidence.
How To Take Measurements When Renting a Dress:
1. Measure your bust.
2. Measure your natural waist.
3. Measure your hips.
Once you have these measurements, e-mail them to us and we will match them up with the designer's size chart measurements and let you know if the dress fits. If you are shopping for dresses somewhere else online, some sites have the designer's measurements posted so you can match them on your own.
So your measurements don't match up? The dress is not your size? You can request additional sizes in any dress on our website by clicking the contact link on any of our dress rental pages.
Visiting our Chicago store? We offer reversible alterations on many of our dresses for an additional cost if you visit our Chicago store. Once you decide on a dress you like, we will let you know what type of alterations can be done (if any).
We want you to be happy with your rental, so contact us anytime with questions about dress fit.
